Iluka, Yamba and Lismore!

Hi guys!
So while I was on holidays, we went to see our family in Iluka, Yamba and Lismore. I was smart enough to remember my camera to take some photos so you could see what it’s like down there. Enjoy!

At Iluka we were lucky enough to see some beautiful dolphins while we were walking right near the beach!

We ended up going to Yamba on a Ferry instead of driving from Iluka.

We did a LOT of walking…

Pacific Fair and Robina Haul

Hi guys!

This month I’ve been out shopping quite a lot as it’s been holidays – meaning more time to spend an insane amount of money… ! So I decided to show you my haul. Enjoy!

  • Denim Skirt- $39.99 – H&M
  • The comforter bubble bar – $10.95- Lush
  • Pink flamingo – $10.50 – Lush
  • Boots- $179.95 – Mathers
  • Yellow bag – $20.96 – Sportsgirl
  • Mascara – $11.95 – Maybelline Great Lash mascara – Good Price Pharmacy
  • Maybelline Blush stick – Good Price Pharmacy

I love denim. So when I saw this skirt in H&M I instantly knew I HAD to have it: The buttons on this denim skirt are rose gold, which is one of my favourite things right now! This skirt is a little bit on the pricey side but it’s worth it ‘coz it’s super comfortable and you can wear it as a ‘fancy night out’ item or just a ‘casual lounge around the house’ item. I really recommend this for all you denim lovers out there!

Lush is one of my favourite shops, so every time I visit Pacific Fair, I always have to stop and smell every single item they have. I don’t like strong scents so I wanted to try the amazing looking bubble bar. This smells a lot like strawberries and cream, and isn’t overpowering. I recommend going and having a sneaky sniff of this amazing bubble bar!

The pink flamingo is also from Lush. (I love how cute it looks!) It also smells amazing, kind of a soft strawberry perfume. So while you’re out smelling the comforter bubble bar, go and smell this as well. (It’s also very affordable.)

Boots! Yes, these boots are on the pricey side. BUT if you’re looking to buy boots that are comfy, will last ages and go with everything, then look no further because these are the best boots. EVER. They go with jeans, skirts and dresses. And I recommend these as a good wardrobe staple investment.

I walked into Sportsgirl and saw this gorgeous yellow bag and so I had to buy it, otherwise I would definitely had some regrets. It’s an adventurous colour but adds nice interest to all of my black and white outfits.

My last mascara that you would have seen in a previous post was amazing, (Mum bought it for me in Hawaii) but unfortunately it dried out… meaning I could buy a new one! Mum recommended it, so I bought it, and it is amazing! It comes off easy and it makes my eyelashes look long and dark which is good ‘coz you can’t see my eyelashes without mascara…

Sticking to makeup: When I was buying my mascara, I was given a blush stick sample (BONUS!) that I haven’t tried yet… but I do know that it’s seriously pigmented and a really nice pink colour. (And I might use it as a lip stain, too.)

Thank you for reading! 😉

Products I Use

Hey guys!

Sorry that I haven’t written in a while, I have been busy with assignments, homework, etc., and now it’s HOLIDAYS!

I have decided to write about the six of products that I use A LOT. (I don’t have any of the prices for these products as I have had them for quite a while… but maybe google?)

  • Shampoo: Pantene, PRO-V, classic clean
  • Conditioner: Protane Naturals, Keratin Conditioner
  • Leave In Conditioner: Redken 5th avenue NYC, Curvaceous
  • Hairspray: Ultimate Keratin Hairspray – Schwarzkopf
  • Hand Cream: Crabtree & Evelyn – Gardeners
  • Hand Recovery: Crabtree & Evelyn – Gardeners

This shampoo is one of the best shampoos I’ve tried. It makes your hair look healthy and really soft. It also smells SOO good, kinda like apple, I guess… I really like this shampoo, which is rare coz I don’t normally like shampoo very much… (I don’t know why, but it’s a thing.) I recommend this one though.

Love this conditioner! It smells amazing, like a bunch of fruits squashed together and put into a bottle to massage into your hair… haha! This conditioner doesn’t make your hair look oily afterwards, makes it look shiny and I haven’t noticed any split ends. (And I haven’t cut my hair for FIVE MONTHS.)

I don’t usually use a leave-in conditioner that much but when I cut my hair to shoulder length, I didn’t want to put my hair up in a ponytail (not like I could anyways) so my hairdresser recommended this conditioner. So I gave it a try and every time I use it, my hair becomes super curly the next day, which I really like! (But if you don’t like having curly hair, I wouldn’t recommend this for you.)

If you’ve watched my previous videos on YouTube (‘March Favourites’) then you would have seen that this hairspray was on my list. It grips onto your hair really well and lasts the whole day, and it smells SO good. By far the best hairspray I have tried!!

I was given the hand products by my grandma: Crabtree & Evelyn. My hands become dry really easily so I use this cream quite a lot. (I’m not really fond of the smell but that doesn’t matter because it does the job.)

Last but not least! Hand Recovery: this cream has little beads inside it to get all of the dead skin off. (Yuck!) I really like this cream because after use, my hands are super soft. Then you put on the hand cream (above) so your hands become even softer!!

April haul.

Hey guys!

I’ve really been looking forward to this post for a long time! It’s all about things that I’ve bought over the past month – from Robina, Supa Nova and the Lifeline $2 sale at the Convention Centre – and I have wanted to show you guys my HAUL.

Anyway. Here’s what I bought:

White Dress: from Portmans, on sale at $39.95

I have worn this dress so many times already because it’s just such a comfortable dress! You can wear it lots of ways – dress it up for fancy occasions; if it’s cold, wear it with tights, boots and maybe a denim jacket. (It was bit pricey but on sale it’s not too bad.)SAM_0420

Flower Dress: from Dotti, $79.95

This dress is AMAZING! It’s really pretty and really light so you don’t feel like your wearing layers of clothing. (Great in Queensland summer…) I’ve already worn it at least three times in two weeks. You could also wear it with cute boots and jacket on top for winter weather. Yep, the dress is pretty pricey but you could easily wear it to something really fancy – like a school dinner dance?

Bag: from Supa Nova, $30

This purse is the BEST! It has a lot of room, and it’s white and navy so goes with everything! I’ve really enjoyed taking it out with dresses, jeans, shorts and skirts. I found it in a stall at Supa Nova couple of weekends ago, but you might find something similar at That Shop. (I think this bag is SO cute!)

Deathly Hallows, and Cat badge: from Supa Nova, $2.50 each

I spotted these badges at a stall at Supa Nova and I couldn’t leave them behind because I just thought they were so cute! Deathly Hallows from Harry Potter! Cute cat! Pin them onto anything, really.

Doctor Who and Deathly Hallows earrings: from Supa Nova, $10 each

I was walking around Supa Nova and saw these earrings and I didn’t think twice. Just fell in love. Just bought them. I’ve worn them with my white dress (up top), and a jeans/top combo for dinner. (I just really like these earrings!!)

Two shirts: from Lifeline $2 Sale

The Convention Centre held the Lifeline $2 sale: everything sold for $2! So I invited two of my friends and we went to have a look around. I picked up these two really nice shirts. You may not be able to tell in the photo, but they’re quite long, so you could wear them over tights. They have cute collars which I really like – especially when the shirt is buttoned all the way up.

Dress: from Lifeline $2 Sale

I also picked up this dress at the Convention Centre. I’d mainly wear it over my swimmers but if you really wanted to I guess you could wear it out?

Let’s get bookish.

Hey guys!

I know that this blog post is about books and not fashion (or makeup) but I decided to do something different. You may or may not know this, but I LOVE reading!

So I thought let’s talk about some of the books that I’ve enjoyed.

‘Paper Towns’ (John Green)

This is one of my favourite books. It’s about a boy named Quentin and a girl named Margo, the most popular girl in school. They live across the street from each other and one day Margo takes Quentin on a journey through the neighbourhood pranking friends that betrayed Margo. After that night Margo goes missing, and Quentin and his friends decide find her. This book is REALLY funny and exciting I couldn’t put it down at all! If you like a bit of mystery, give this a go!

‘Harry Potter’ (J.K. Rowling)

The Harry Potter books are my favourite books of ALL. TIME.

I wont go into much detail on what they are about, because I’m sure you basically know what Harry Potter is about… But I will quickly tell you just a little:

  •  Seven novels about the life of a wizard (Harry Potter) and his best friends Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley.
  • They’re students of Hogwarts, a School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
  • The seven novels are based around Harry’s struggles against Lord Voldemort, a dark wizard who wishes to take control.

If you like magic, then go and grab a copy – or seven!

‘A Series of Unfortunate Events’ (Lemony Snicket)

I have really enjoyed reading these thirteen novels. They are basically about three children (Violet, Klaus and Sunny Baudelaire) whose parents have just died in a horrible fire. The children are placed in the custody of Count Olaf, a crazed man who wishes to steal their inheritance. The series continues, showing how the children try to escape from Olaf. If you like a bit of mystery then this the perfect series for you. (Warning though: they are quite sad. So don’t read if you don’t like sadness/having a cry…)

‘All the Bright Places’ (Jennifer Niven)

This is a FANTASTIC book! (Even though it is a reeeally sad.) It’s about a boy (Finch – he is suicidal) and a girl (Violet). They partner up to do a school project. While on the project, Violet learns that Finch wants to end his life – and she tries to help him. It sounds really depressing but I promise you it’s a really interesting read!

‘Anna and the French Kiss’ (Stephanie Perkins)

If you like a little bit of romance then go check this book out because it’s really good and all about romance! A girl moves to Paris to go to a boarding school and you’ve probably already guessed it – yes! She meets a guy!! … Even if this IS your typical romance story, you should definitely give it a go – it’s very enjoyable.

Those were just some of the books that I’ve enjoyed reading. If you think you liked the sound of one of one/any of the names books, then I suggest you go and check them out: my all time favourite bookshop is Where The Wild Things Are. If you live near Brisbane, take a drive/train/bus.

Thanks for visiting!  😉

March Favourites!

Hey Guys,

I know! I know!

I haven’t visited in a while (six months to be exact) and I’m very sorry! Things just got really busy… but I’m back now! And I have a YouTube channel as well! So go and check that out if you want. (But make sure you read this first.)

Anyway, I’ll be here more often now. Yep.

Ok, so I’m currently in the middle of making a video about little things that I have enjoyed throughout the last month (March). So I decided to blog about it too, so I can write about the stuff more thoroughly, so yeah, enjoy!  🙂

Mascara: Sephora Rogue – ‘Seduce’

Lipstick: Benefit – ‘Bad Gal Lash’

Hairspray: Schwarzkopf – ‘Ultimate Keratin Hairspray’

Nail Polish: Rimmel London Nail Polish – ‘Roll In The Grass’ & ‘Breakfast In Bed’

Perfume: Clinique ‘Happy’

Reflections Book: Typo

Colouring In Book: This was from Finland but you can get heaps of colouring-in books like this everywhere – even Woolworths.

Candle: Glasshouse Fragrances – ‘Coney Island, Burnt Sugar And Fig’

Pens: Typo

Make Up Bag: This was a present from my grandma so I’m not sure where you can get it from…

  •  The lipstick is one of my favourites that I have tried. I don’t wear much makeup at all so when I do, I usually use this one. It’s very pigmented, quite moisturising, a really nice pink that goes with pretty much everything, and I just really like it.
  • The mascara in this picture is good for girls to use if they are starting to wear makeup: it doesn’t stand out much but it’s easy to build up if you want thicker layers and yeah, I really like it!
  • The hairspray is a personal favourite. It’s easy to brush out, smells nice, (I know that sounds weird but it really does!) dries really quickly and it holds hair in place and I would know – I have really fluffy hair that sticks up everywhere!
  • The candle: I don’t own many but this is probably the best thing I’ve smelt. It’s AMAZING! It has burnt sugar and fig and OH MY GOSH it smells soooo good!

  • These are probably my favourite nail polishes and that’s saying something – I own a bowl full of polishes and there could be more than 20 different colours in there. Both are really pretty on and they don’t chip easily. (I promise those are two different shades… bad lighting.)

  • This perfume is AMAZING and really good quality (as in not cheap). It smells fab, stays on for the whole day, the packaging is cute and it also comes with a body smoother. This perfume ticks all of my boxes. Go and check it out.

  • This is from Finland. (As in bought last year on my trip to Finland.) But I have been really loving this colouring in book: it has pictures of flowers and patterns and it’s really relaxing. I love it!

  • This journal is really cool – each day you open a new page, and it has a new question to answer, and I just think it’s an interesting and nice way to reflect on your days.
  • I use the pens in this photo A LOT. They’re really cute and the ink comes out in a nice, dense black. (Wow, I never thought I would be reviewing pens…)

  • This make up bag was given to me by my grandma. You could also use it for other stuff like jewellery, etc. I personally like to use it for my makeup and it has heaps of compartments and it’s just really cute and I love it!!

I have a video coming up on my YouTube channel soon, so look out for that.
